The Cowshed Blog No.3 - And now...

Whilst the past few weeks have been phenomenal, finishing the shop build, opening the shop, meeting customers both new and old, selling lots of lovely things- taking a moment to breathe and reflect is so important.

It has certainly been a hectic time, but a truly enjoyable one. Seeing an idea, a dream you have had, become a reality is so surreal but so wonderful, and when it is something you can share with others who have a similar vision, all the better. My aim for the shop was to really provide that space for people to enjoy shopping in, something removed from the clinical high street experience, and more akin to times gone by. Times where you could talk to the shop keeper, ask advice or recommendations, and have a conversation face to face- something we have been missing due to the online shift and global pandemic recently. That connection with where our things come from is vitally important to me and being able to take the time to stop and chat with customers again has been so enjoyable.

One of our bestsellers has been our rural themed bedding range, (click here) it’s easy to see why- they are pretty ,wash super well, and available in Single through to Superking so children can match their parents, or as a fun option for countryside hotels and BnB’s, I recently received a picture of the off roader bedding being used for an off road mad couple staying at a holiday let! That’s what I call customer service!

In all truth, taking time to rest and sleep is so important and with back to school, now is the perfect time to get prepped for rest. Don’t worry if you haven’t time top visit us in person, our products are all available on our website, and if you can’t find something please send me a message, we will do our best to help!

We have a new range of horse themed, blue tractor and pheasant bedding arriving before Christmas, as well as some lovely blankets, and will be offering some lovely “bundles” of bedding, sheepskin rug and blankets, at special prices.
